We took a long weekend trip to Ocean City, MD with Makaia. Jeff's parents came along as well and it was nice to spend time together just the 5 of us. It was interesting to pack Makaia's bag for the weekend. There are so many things you might need. How do you know what to take without going overboard? The car was jam packed for the 3-day trip...including a luggage bag on the roof!
Makaia did really well and got to see so many things for the 1st time...the wind, the beach, birds, and the lights and sounds along the boardwalk. We went out to eat every night and we were all able to eat our meal without her fussing so I was very pleased with how she handled all of the new sights and sounds. We ran around with her all day...eating, laying on the beach, and walking up and down the boardwalk. At the end of the day she was so tired which made the nights go very well. Overall it was a great trip and the beginning of several family vacations to the beach.
